An encore would have been nice.

The Carling Academy is a poor choice for an artist such as Don.Its become the regular venue

for up and coming UK groups and selling drink seems to be the priority,Glasgow has at least 4
halls/theatres which would be more condusive to the talent that is Mr  Don Mclean.
Needless to say Don was in splendid voice[and good humour] backed by an equally splendid 4 piece band.In a 2 hour set all the usual favourites were sung with the notable exception of
‘Castles’ and ‘Prime Time’.this is not the first time  Glasgow has missed out on the wonderful
‘Castles in the Air’!? On stage for 2 hours Don gave full value for money but the crowd were
very disappointed at the lack of an encore. This was poor management, all he had to do was
sing for 1 hour 50 minutes and then do a 10 minute encore, same amount of time but the
punters go home even happier.
