  1. Have just returned from an evening at Wrest Point Casino starring this most talented, sincere and humble man.
It was indeed a privilege to part of the audience for this outstanding performance.

  2. This is the third time we have seen Don McLean in concert, and he is just as brilliant as ever. I just love his lyrics – he uses words in the nost beautiful way. He is also a fantastic guitarist. His band was excellent, and the pianist was so good! A tuly fantastic event, and I hope he will return to Hobart again some time for another concert. He joked about it – for age-related reasons, but I am sure he will be performing for many more years yet, and I would certainly love to see hime again, and again and again…..

  3. This was the first time I have seen Don Mclean in concert. He was truly amazing, from the first song to the last Legendary song “American Pie”. I could have sat there for hours listening to his songs and his stories. I was almost moved to tears throughout the concert as memories surrounding his songs filled my head.He is a true legend

  4. I enjoyed Don McLean’s Hobart concert. Don’s performance of American Pie was amazing and he got a standing ovation, he got the audience to join in, and we had an continous encore of American Pie 🙂 Other highlights for me were Vincent, If we try, And I love you so and Mountains of Mourne .

It was my first Don McLean concert and I was glad that our home town was included on this tour. Thanks for coming to Tasmania.

  5. We were in the audience of Don Mclean’s Hobart concert last week. It was a brilliant evening with Don and his band the complete professionals.

We were treated to many of Don’s famous songs including ‘American Pie’, ‘Vincent’, ‘Castles in the air’ and ‘Crossroads’.

Don also sang ‘And I love you so’ remarking on the fact that many people credit the writing of the song to Perry Como, who does a well known version.

There were some priceless moments with Don and his band jamming and highlighting Don’s musical talent on the guitar.

The Hobart audience were most appreciative of Don’s talents and became involved singing along and standing for the final song ‘American Pie’ and through an encore of the same.

To pleas of would he visit Hobart again Don joked by singing ‘And I love you so’ with a older voice.

Don impressed with his vibrancy and energy and the audience came away uplifted and with the knowledge they had been part of special evening with a legendary muscian.
