  1. I want to say a big THANK YOU to Don and his band for this wonderful concert. What a voice! Don McLean put a spell on the entire audience who just loved him. I came out floating and I only wish that some TV station had professionally recorded this performance because I would love to experience this special moment in time again and again.
It was great to hear Crossroads with the brilliant piano playing, I was Always Young and Addicted to Black were outstanding, I had never heard Billy the Kid, Crying was unreal and the banjo with This Little Light of Mine summed it all up. I could go on and on. Don seemed to be in top form and looked very happy – I hope he enjoyed it as much as we did. I don’t know how they manage all this travelling because it must be exhausting but all the fans very much appreciate the efforts.
Special thanks to the band as well, I liked the way Don introduced them during this concert. That was very nice as well as informative. I was sitting high up over the stage looking down on the band and therefore I was able to observe all the effort and passion that Jerry and Ralph contributed to this special event. Normally, they are not as easy to see as the others. This really opened my eyes as to what a team effort such a concert/ big tour is.
Let’s just say, Don brought the house down. It was a concert that I will always remember. Thanks so much!

  2. Absolutely brilliant concert. Every minute a musical delight. A wonderful experience that I shared with my friend and my neice. Thank you so much to Don & also his band – so glad that they “battled the volcano” & managed to get here! Please come back soon.

  3. It was a real honour to be in the same room as the legend who is Don McLean. Every song seemed to transport me, as well as the rest of the audience, to a magical place, where only Don McLean lyrics & melodies can. Some of his banter was quite funny too! If you get the chance to attend the tour grab it with both hands. MAGIC!!

  4. Hello my wife and I came down 200 plus miles from Brora Sutherland to see Don on my wifes birthday and what atreat we had. Over 32 years ago we saw Don in Belfast and we were captivated once again. It was a great experience . DMcL has the very rare ability to touch your heart and senses and we were warmed within. Would Don not consider playing in Inverness sometime?

  5. Had the privilidge of being smack bang in the middle of the front row. Fab concert. Don has a superb voice!! American Pie was awesome – just wanted him to sing it again and again!! Great show – thanks Don – hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!! Scotland look forward to welcoming you again soon!! :o)

  6. You could have heard a pin drop, when Don sang Vincent. It surely has to be one of the greatest songs of all time. We also had a lot of collective fun with American Pie, last night. Thanks for a greatshow.

  7. What can I say. Don is still the main man. A total legend. Highlights for me was his rendition of “Crossroads” with Tony Migliore playing the most amazing arrangement on the grand piano, and Don’s solo performance of “I Was Always Young” from “Addicted To black” Pure genius. Roll on Perth!!

  8. All the hits and the voice was in terrific form. Looked as if Don really enjoyed himself and he gave that back to us last night. Absolutely wonderful!

  9. Legendary doesnt begin to describe Don he was amazing again, great sound great songs new and old thanks again Don hurry back.
