  1. Don was fantastic. I heard him about 30 years ago and his performance is still just as good. The backing band were less impressive and the highlights for me were when it was just Don and his guitar.

  2. Manchester
No flashy play on words just a heartfelt review from me for a beautiful charismatic singer, I’ve never heard anyone as good as Don or felt such emotion after seeing him in concert he is truly amazing topped up with sharing the concert with like minded fans is just wonderful. Hope I didn’t frighten my passengers on the way home I was soooo happy.
A few of us were lucky enough to share a conversation with the very beautiful Mrs McLean who was on tour with Don. The happiness that radiates from him when he talks about marriage and fatherhood is I think one of the main reasons he still tours , apart from the fact that he tells us he loves applause, well I will keep on applauding you Don and your great band too.
A beautiful hall with wonderful acoustics, Don McLean and a great band what more could you want.
First saw Don in 1973 in Manchester so it was lovely to be with one of my school friends who had accompanied me back then we too were on our 40th Anniversary tour too .
Dressed tonight in black not my favourite colour for you Don , but again a beautiful stage shirt.
He took my red rose at the end so i was very happy .
He talked about conversations not texting , looking around and appreciating the world we live in, he is so right ,the words and melodies which he gives us with beautiful music.
    Crossroads with Tony magic.
    Encore Vincent WOW!
    Crying is still amazing.
2ND concert 4 to go! Glad to be in my own bed tonight!

  3. Last saw Don in the early 80’s at the Free Trade Hall. On Saturday I saw him again this time at hall built to replace the Free Trade Hall, The Bridgewater Hall. He seems to be in great shape, his vocal on ‘Crying’ is still extraordinary. I’ve just bought 4 of his CD’s on Amazon and dusted off my signed vinyl copy of ‘Believers’ but I’d rather see him live. Thanks for all great music Don.

  4. Wish I could bottle the excitement and happiness after seeing seeing Don in concert, too excited to write any more now but thansks Don for a great concert and for taking my rose from me WOW! Jerry Vip David and Tony another great concert too from you guys. Forgot to mention Miraed yesterday what a beautiful voice great to hear real talent and beautiful melodies.

  5. Was at one of the first concerts back in 72 in Liverpool. This performance was vintage Don McLean, you could sense he was feeding off the energy in the auditorium. The whole audience was on it’s feet for American Pie, never seen that before, Brilliant!! Hope it’s not his last tour.

  6. Yes! I have at last seen Don on stage after waiting 40 years! Is was so worth waiting for!Thank you Don for your wonderful songs – profound, sad, funny, beautiful. Your song writing is a true art and your singing voice so excellent. Thank you for coming to Britain.
